Poor Caroline

Poor Caroline! The night we arrived back from our Disney World trip we came home to discover that Caroline our SWEEEEET Great Dane was very sick. Three years ago she got the bloat. For those of you who don't know what the Bloat is, it's when their stomach flips and if you don't get them to the Vet for surgery within a couple of hours they will die. The Vet says it's the one true pet emergency in their line of work. 3 years ago she got it and died on the table and Dr. Fuller from Hope Animal revived her along with myself and Patrick. It was late on a Sunday night when we took her to Dr. Fuller and no vet techs were there and he said if we didn't help him do the surgery she would die. So we did! Nothing any pet owner wants to do trust us. She survived though and so the night we got back from our Trip she had it again. We got her there early though so they saved her, not our pocket books to say the least but she was worth every penny. She is doing pretty good and our friend Dr. Jeremy Birchfield has been checking up on her. He's awesome!!!! We love him to death and we are so lucky to him in our lives. Poor Caroline has to wear a cone sometimes so she won't lick her sutures but she is recovering. It's taking her a little longer since she is 4 now, older for a big dog but we believe she will be just fine. Please pray for our doggie, we love her so much!!! Thank you Jesus for looking out for our girl, she is a living proof of the power of prayer!
