Me, mom, Ken and Coleman went to the mountains last week. Poor Patrick couldn't go because of work. We have this great place we go to in Sky Valley Georgia. I sometimes just say the Highlands, N.C. because it's 10 miles down the hill but still high up there itself. When you go up the mountain you go through Georgia, North Carolina and Georgia and North Carolina again. Anyway, you get the point. It's a friends place we go to and really hits the spot if your in the need of some getting away or relaxing and what a view! We haven't been since Coleman was 3 months old so we were due a trip. He loved it this time since he is older and actually knows what is going on. In some of these pictures you see him with his arms up in the air. He is saying, "HO HO HO!" He is a little obsessed with that right now but it's the funniest thing ever. Oh, and before I forget, when we left the Georgia welcoming rest stop, Coleman told the lady worked there, "Bye bye and Roll Tide!" Too funny and we didn't even tell him to say it. They got a real kick out of it! When we got there it was snowing and the higher up we got the more it snowed. By the time we reached the top and to the house the whole ground and trees and everything was a blanket of snow. So pretty and we were so excited. So after the unloading of the car which seemed to take forever I put on Colemans warm stuff and headed outside. He thought that was pretty neat and threw some snowballs and ran around free as a little bird! He was a very cute snow baby! The rest of the time we built fires, ate, played shopped and went to Helen Georgia for a little visit. Helen is a little German town where the Germans settled when the communist took over Germany. So they are still there. Many of the new generations as well. The town is so cute and quaint and the architecture is neat too. You can see it in the pictures. Ken A.K.A. Poppy got Coleman a cash register and we were saying clean up on aisle 3 and Frank could you come to the front please. We thought that was hilarious and Coleman was trying his best to say what we were saying. Lovie and Poppy read books to him at night to settle him down and would act out the scenes, too funny! He was obsessed with the fire poker because I had it the whole time (I am obsessed a little with keeping the fire going). We had a great time and can't wait to go back. Hopefully next time the rest of the crew will come as well. Today is Thursday the 15th of January, since Jan. 1st I have been home for about 3 days, literally. Being able to be gone has been wonderful but I am beginning to miss home and our routine and stuff. Tonight I am heading off to Gatlinburg with Hope and Heather B. and Heather T.Rice and will be back on Sunday. This is a girls trip so I am excited and the kids are at the home with daddy. Coleman has been with me on my journey this month and Patrick was with me at the beach so I will be alone this time. It will be great for us girls though, especially Hope. Lets don't to forget to keep her in our prayers. It will be a blast and is supposed to snow. So, I have some wine to go and we hope it will snow! Hehehehehe!! When I get back I have some serious business to share about 2 friends who meant the world to me.
