NEW YEARS AT THE BEACH

Every New Years we go the beach with Patricks mom and dad (the Lantrip family)! It was so much fun this year since Coleman is at that fun age and just getting so imaginitive and FREE spirited as I like to call it. We played all day every day pretty much until we were pooped out at the end of the night, especially the little guy. Coleman was loving some fishing buddy and wanted his own pole and not one of those kid things either, although he did get a Shrek pole, it just wasn't the same to him. He likes the big WEDGES!!!! It was so nice in Destin, about 70 every day and only rained the last night we were there so it didn't matter and we got good sleep! It was perfect, no sunscreen or gooey oil and sticking to the sand like usual, although I do love that weather too I must say, the tan and all, but for Coleman it was just right for the digging he had going on. He loved every minute of it and is still saying HO HO HO since Christmas; so he would climb to the top of this little pile that was pretty big to him and "was"a sand castle that some little girl worked so hard on and he would yell HO HO HO! It was too cute! He buried Patrick in the sand and then Patrick buried him, he didn't mind it at all surprisingly. I had to put on his sweet little outfit with the light house on it and get some pictures on the beach. He looked so cute in it and he blew me kisses just because he loves me. It doesn't get any sweeter than that, he stole my heart and I captured it forever! He overwhelms me with his unconditional love every second of every day. I Love being a mom to that little stinker! I am so glad I took so many good pictures this trip of my buddy. He will be 2 in February and Patrick is making me cut his hair on his birthday, shame on you Patrick :( :( So I don't have much time left with the curls and it's killing me. I know he will look like a toddler for real then and I want him to stay a baby, where did the time go? ANYWAY, the beach was awesome and we had an awesome place with plenty of room for Coleman and it was all to great! Thanks Bobbie and Grandpa for our anual beach trip for New Years! WE love you!!! HO HO HO!

That looks like such a nice way to bring in the New Year - WARM! It is so cold here and just looking at those pictures made me miss the beach. We used to live 15 minutes from the beach and now there is no beach in sight - urgh! Oh well, I am sure we will be stationed near the beach again soon.

Glad you had a fun trip. I know what you mean about the haircuts though - it totally changes how you look at them. Good luck and I can't wait to see pictures!!!
